What we do

  • Summer to winter and winter to summer changeovers.
  • Mounting new tires onto rims, and balancing.
  • Flat repairs, when the damage is in the tread and it is safe to repair.
  • Tire pressure sensor checks, so the warning light goes out.
  • Tire storage between seasons.
  • A look at tread depth and wear pattern, which tells us a lot about your alignment.

Every changeover gets a balance check and a look at how the tread is wearing.

Tire storage

Four tires take up a surprising amount of a condo storage locker or a garage. Leave them with us between seasons for $90, and when it is time to change over, they are already here.

When to switch in Ottawa

The usual rule is winter tires on when daytime temperatures stay below 7°C, which in Ottawa tends to mean late October or early November. Summer tires go back on once the overnight lows stay above freezing, usually some time in April.

Ontario does not require winter tires, but Ontario insurers have to offer a discount if you run them. If you live in Gatineau or drive a Quebec plated car, winter tires are the law from December 1 to March 15. We wrote up the details in our winter tire guide.

Beat the rush

The first snow forecast sends everybody to their phone at once. Book your changeover a couple of weeks early and you will not be stuck waiting. Drop off by 11 am for same day service.
