Signs your battery or charging system is going
- The engine cranks slowly on cold mornings.
- You needed a boost, and it happened again.
- The battery light comes on while driving.
- Headlights dim at idle and brighten when you rev.
- The car is dead after sitting for a few days.
- The battery is five years old or more.

How we test
We load test the battery to see how it holds up under the kind of draw a cold start puts on it. We check the alternator's output at idle and under load, and we check the starter's current draw. We clean and tighten the terminals and check the grounds.
If a battery goes flat while the car is parked, something is drawing power with the key off. We measure the drain and pull fuses one circuit at a time until we find it. Aftermarket remote starters, dash cams and trailer wiring are common causes.
Replacement
We fit a battery with the right size and cold cranking rating for your car. Many newer cars with start stop systems need an AGM battery, and some need the new battery registered to the car's computer so it charges correctly. We handle that.
